I hope this is just a quirk of this young House Sparrow getting it's new plumage but it looks to have a deformed spine. I've never seen it extend its neck and its back doesn't look right. I'll keep and eye on it as it's one of the young in my garden

Murton Birds
A few of the less common birds at Murton, there are lots of Black-headed Gulls, Greylag Geese and Tufted Ducks at present. Below are Black-headed Gull, Ringed Plover, Redshank and Reed Bunting
