Green Sandpipers at Monikie

Monikie today looking for winter ducks or grebes and there sitting on the exposed beach where the water level had receded was a Green Sandpiper which flew along and joined a second bird at the edge of the narrow strip between the two ponds. Both were kept moving as walkers went by and best views might be from where the kids feed the mallards, on the elevated path.

There was a Green Sandpiper (actually two) far, far away and lit up by the low sun. Both birds had flown along the exposed beach being kept moving as people walked by. Canon SX60 for the distance.
