Crawton Mackerel

The Mackerel are still too far from the shore other than at near high tide. There are many bait balls appearing offshore and to the north which drift southerly with the incoming tide. Either the bait balls have large amounts of small fish or few mackerel as they seem to last for quite a long time, some as long as 15 minutes. Five fish caught all of good size and with immature, 2-3 inch long sandeels in their stomachs.
