Glen Lethnot, Angus

In search of Common Sandpiper today in Glen Lethnot but obviously too early yet. I did find 5 male Wheatears, 42 Meadow Pipits, 7 Red Grouse and a few Lapwings, all below in that order. Also seen but too distant 3 separate pairs of Ravens and a bird which may have been a 1st or 2nd year Golden Eagle!

Lesser Whitethroat, Auchmithie area

This Lesser Whitethroat is recorded as the earliest seen in any year in Scotland and was at Castlesea Bay in Angus on April 6th and 7th. Photos taken near to dusk as it had rained all day.
