Curlew Sandpiper, despite the winter weather..............

A Curlew Sandpiper was among the Ringed Plover and Dunlin today at the Lurgies, it's third day so far but it was difficult to get a photo in the howling wind and frequent squally showers so a video using 100 times zoom will have to do. As with all of my videos you can change the settings on YouTube to 1080 HD which will make some difference to this one but not much!
First photo with my DSLR the rest with the Canon XS50 as I wouldn't risk the DSLR in the conditions.

First the weather, taken yesterday at Arbroath Harbour with the sun lighting the town just before a large thunder cloud brought on darkness and heavy rain.

Curlew Sandpiper, it's in the centre!

Dunlin, one of about 30 all in breeding plumage

Ringed Plover, perhaps 90 in the flock
