Rained off at St Cyrus

Two from St Cyrus one of which caused me some ID confusion and I learned not to use a photo alone for identity especially ones which aren't a natural pose and of a juvenile bird in moult.

Murton Nature Reserve in a brief sunny period on Thursday

The first photos are from Murton and from the Bank Vole onwards are from Montreathmont. I couldn't find any Black Darters at Murton but the sun was only out for a wee while so a return visit soon.

A short video of one of the Common Darters just finishing eating a small fly is on my YouTube feed along with others, click here.
