Lunan Bay and the Salt Pans

The Met Office lied again, nae sun, milky light through grey cloud! I suppose it was the shortest day with the sun at noon being around 10 degrees, so I shouldn't moan, naw it's my nature to!

Some from Lunan Bay and the Bank of Scotland Hide. I might do a "Year Review" series before Christmas.

Video of the Little Egret, click here for a version on Flickr (trial to compare to YouTube)

A single Snow Bunting eventually around 200 metres south of the bird hide at Lunan Bay

The only Red-throated Diver left at Lunan Bay, the rest appear to be at St Andrews

No noise, no people and that brought in one of two Little Egrets closer than usual to the Bank of Scotland Hide at SWT Montrose Basin

The only one left after a dispute about fishing rights, the other flew towards Rossie Spit
