Start of the returning Waders

What happens when you go looking for Terns on the rocks and it's high tide. I need to find a high tide roost, perhaps a trip to Lunan Bay or Fishtown of Usan. Meantime here's some from Arbroath and one from Murton, and maybe a video? Yes thought I had a new one.

Garganey video (again), click here

Dunlin at Victoria Park, Arbroath, in the shade near dusk

Ringed Plover

Turnstone lit up with the low sunlight

The only birds around when I went looking for the terns, Herring Gulls and a few Black-headed Gulls

A pristine looking juvenile

Another, one of around 20 in and around the Gayfield area

Canon SX60, a noisy photo of the Garganey still at Murton NR

The remaining Pink-footed Goose at Montrose Basin. I discovered that it can't fly, probably an old war wound, lead shot I presume
