Bar-tailed Godwit Fest - Arbroath Coast

I don't get many chances to get photos of Bar-tailed Godwits so when two hung around this week at West Links, Arbroath I was happy to have got a variety. Then, today before I had posted any I found another at Victoria Park, much, much closer, so I've posted today's first and further down the West Links ones.
Also below are, Dunlin, Curlew, Ringed Plover, Knot, Pied Wagtail, Turnstone, Redshank, Collared Dove, Carrion Crow and another Painted Lady that flew around my ladder when I was painting.
Lastly at the foot I've posted some ringed birds, the gulls took some getting and the Sandwich Terns were accidental, so I'll have another look this weekend.

Dunlin on a dark background at West Links on Wednesday

Knot, West Links on Thursday

The Knot don't stay long as the tide rises

An interlude during my painting excursion on Monday and Tuesday when I painted my dormers, did I mnetion Olive's dormers and roofline too!

I published this one from Wednesday as it clearly shows the bar-tail

This one appears to be a moulting adult male (Bar-tailed Godwit). Photos taken near sunset, hence the colours are saturated

Juvenile

Wednesday still at West Links

I haven't had a Collared Dove in my garden for years, and this one turned up when I was on the roof with my hands covered in paint. Seemed like the right time for a break and it stayed around long enough for three photos, not from the roof

If you throw chips out of your car at Victoria Park, or elsewhere, then don't complain when gulls and crows think it's Ok to help themselves when you're not looking!!
