Bar-tailed Godwit Fest - Arbroath Coast

I don't get many chances to get photos of Bar-tailed Godwits so when two hung around this week at West Links, Arbroath I was happy to have got a variety. Then, today before I had posted any I found another at Victoria Park, much, much closer, so I've posted today's first and further down the West Links ones.
Also below are, Dunlin, Curlew, Ringed Plover, Knot, Pied Wagtail, Turnstone, Redshank, Collared Dove, Carrion Crow and another Painted Lady that flew around my ladder when I was painting.
Lastly at the foot I've posted some ringed birds, the gulls took some getting and the Sandwich Terns were accidental, so I'll have another look this weekend.

Knot, West Links on Thursday

The Knot don't stay long as the tide rises

An interlude during my painting excursion on Monday and Tuesday when I painted my dormers, did I mnetion Olive's dormers and roofline too!

I published this one from Wednesday as it clearly shows the bar-tail

This one appears to be a moulting adult male (Bar-tailed Godwit). Photos taken near sunset, hence the colours are saturated

Juvenile

Wednesday still at West Links

I haven't had a Collared Dove in my garden for years, and this one turned up when I was on the roof with my hands covered in paint. Seemed like the right time for a break and it stayed around long enough for three photos, not from the roof

If you throw chips out of your car at Victoria Park, or elsewhere, then don't complain when gulls and crows think it's Ok to help themselves when you're not looking!!

Peregrine at Barry Buddon

Another juvenile Peregrine, but I'm going to ask whether it could be a Hobby, previous Peregrine juvenile photos are very similar, but less brown and not so thin. There are Hobby and Peregrine photos of juveniles on Birdguides that are very similar to this bird which hasn't helped. It was seen just long enough to grab a few photos as it passed by at Barry Buddon, flying along the beach!
NOT a Hobby, just another young Peregrine, and to confirm I found some old photos of mine with it's twin!!

Also a mixture of birds and insects. Geese and Greenshanks at the Lurgies, Dragonflies and Sand Martins at Murton and some scat!

Lesser Black-backed Gull juveniles at Barry Burn mouth, the adult was more wary of a dog and flew off, these followed soon after

At least 400 Canada Geese at the Lurgies just now. Note the smaller birds which weren't so obvious when on the ground

It seemed a bit early for the Rowan berries at Murton

Juvenile Sand Martin, still a dozen nests occupied at Murton

Yellowhammer, sitting at the viewpoint of course

I think this is Fox scat, unless someone has been walking a dog at Murton which isn't allowed

August Webs Photos

By the time I managed to get to my Easthaven Webs this month it was later in the day on Sunday, but the sun was at my back so I took my camera, success! I've added photos in the order they appear in the Webs records with a brief message below some of them.

The videos below are original HD compressed to SD as they were taken at distance and digital zoom was used, I'll experiment with this, the alternative was viewing at 50% which I did, but others may not. See how it goes, close ups in good light will continue in HD.
