Mediterranean, Lesser Black-backed and Great Black-backed Gulls

More Gulls, there weren't many terns around that weren't Common or Sandwich. There was also a juvenile Med Gull at Inchcape Park and maybe the same one later at Whiting Ness. The adult below flew into the roost after high tide when some beach was visible.

I tried to get a good comparison shot between the Med and Black-headed Gulls but an angler flushed them. The Black-headed are moulting flight feathers and have much less black on the wings just now. The Med Gull may also be moulting as it looked very short at the rear

Lesser Black-backed Gull with one of two juveniles it flew in with

Juvenile Black-backed Gull, it looked richer coloured in real life, or is it just fantasy

The "Beast", I like these monsters, Great Black-backed Gulls. This looked like one of a pair with two juveniles

Herring Gull juvenile at Victoria Park, Arbroath. It's making that whimpering call they make when hungry

Tough, the parent refused to feed it
