The Good Old Days...............or maybe not

I don't often go out at the weekend due to the number of people who are wandering about (often with dogs) where I would hope to find birds and other wildlife. If they could only get a little awareness of the problems they cause when chasing roosting birds of their roost, and it's not always the dogs that do it......

Since the sun came out for a while late morning I took these photos in my garden, it takes me back to the good old days of lockdown! Ah, the good times will come again, don't let it get you down, adapt.

Tree Sparrows in the next few photos. They returned to my garden earlier this year than usual and I had a high count of 14 on one of the rainy days lately

A couple of Coal Tits are ever present, they just won't sit still long enough for photos

I had numerous attempts before I got this one

The first Greenfinch of the autumn, and it looks like a young bird undergoing a bit of a moult

Without the camera I just wouldn't see this aggression at the feeders, the Starling is always going to win against the House Sparrow

The House Sparrows are also very aggressive at the feeders with each other

The Dunnock is still very shy and doesn't get peace from the Robin

Aye, butter wouldn't melt in its mouth.....

It had just chased the Dunnock away again

Now if Starlings were patterned like this but in primary colours everyone would love them

Even the humble Feral Pigeons if you pay close attention are colourful birds, well except the near black one that comes in
