Great Egret - Little Egret

Still not the "killer" photo of the Great Egret I'd like, but hey it's winter and lockdown, I should be glad to see it on my walk. Looks like tomorrow's walk will be at Monikie as the female Scaup has been seen again by Jonathon, and it's an  appropriate exercise site for Olive's sore knee.

Great White Egret at Montrose Basin

Being very wary it flew out of range after a loud noise nearby

The best crop I could get from a few photos

Another loud noise, I just remembered where the noise came from but I won't say here

A Little Egret for comparison, not so wary

Black-tailed Godwit at the Lurgies

You can see how deep into the mud it presses its beak from the mud on its face

Long-tailed Tit which was with a small group of around 6 working quickly along the path

Taken into the sun, this one doesn't look quite the correct colours

There were 9 Shovelers at Rossie Spit area, one drake and eight ducks, seen from behind the garage

I took this Woodpigeon photo as I stepped out of my car at home, just couldn't stop myself!
