Kinnordy Loch

Top birds today at Kinnordy were, Wood Sandpiper, Marsh Harrier (male and female both up at the same time), Swift and Wheatear.

The Wood Sandpiper was out on the bog bean and difficult to get in dull conditions, the Wheatear sitting on a strainer post let me get quite close. Ignore the Lapwing in the second photo, the Wood Sandpiper is below it.

Long cold session at Kinnordy Loch, they said it would be bright and 14 degrees!

The photo above is 3 photos stitched together for counting and the one opposite is some of the same Pink Foot Geese coming in to land at Kinnordy. These geese will be considered as late when I add them to the BTO's Bird Track page.
The subject is actually the Redshank beside the young Mute Swan as it's ringed, I'll report this and see where it originates.
