Whiting Ness, Arbroath Cliffs

Whiting Ness in Arbroath is still holding a flock of around 60 terns mostly Sandwich with a few Common and from time to time a few Golden Plover are seen before moving on. All of the birds below could be seen from your car but I sat on the steps at the Ness to keep out of the strong wind. The last photo from the Basin was taken before one of the heavy showers.

Rock Pipit, I like the effect of the water tension as the rock gets covered by the incoming tide

Great Northern Diver - Lunan Bay

I dropped into Lunan Bay just to pass 30 minutes before going home and didn't expect to see anything of interest on a windless day and calm sea but was rewarded with a Great Northern Diver. The bird was a fair bit out for a photo but I took a few and this one shows the details to a degree. The Little Egret photo was from a bit closer at Miss Erskine's Bank, Montrose Basin.
