Keptie Pond, Arbroath. Ten species photographed, Wood Pigeons, Feral Pigeons, Greenfinches, Coal Tits and Blue Tits also present.

A Cormorant coming in to land and fish, one of at least six often at Keptie Pond.
A mean looking Coot, aren't they all.
A battle for the bread some youngsters were throwing in, with Black-headed Gulls and Herring Gulls and 1st winter birds of both species among the throng.
Jackdaws don't normally come so close but must be used to getting food from humans here.
Another almost resident hunter, this Grey Heron is often seen in this tree.
A female Mallard.
Moorhen.
Male Mute Swan, possibly the resident, a fight must be due soon as other pairs are also on the pond.
Female Tufted Duck, it appears just now there are more males around than females.
You can see why this male Tufted Duck is so named.
Just beginning to show the signs of the black head which gives these Black-headed Gulls their name. The black will fade again after the breeding season.
