Waxwings in Forfar

These Waxwings who are winter visitors from Scandinavia were at the junction of North Street and Service Road, a busy place in Forfar but were only mildly put off from feeding on the rose hip like berries. Better light would have been welcome though.
Last year there were many more Waxwings thought to occur when they've either had a very successful breeding season and or a shortage of berries come winter.

Kinnordy for twenty minutes

Olive and I spent around 20 minutes at Kinnordy and we saw the Barnacle Goose in the photo, and the first Shelduck and Oystercatchers we've seen at Kinnordy this year.

Glen Prosen

A short trip to Glen Prosen and it rained. Olive asked me to take this chaps photo, he was one of perhaps 24 rams being kept in close to the farm. The Red Grouse were scared away by the only person we saw in 2 hours!
