Iceland Gull in Arbroath, in August! No aberrant Herring Gull

This bird has been reported on BirdGuides as, "reported 1st-summer is an aberrant Herring Gull" which was suggested to me earlier and said to be a more interesting bird. I agree.

Some doubt regarding this gull due to bill colour, head shape and time of year. I've added a few more photos in the hope that those with higher pay grades than me come to a conclusion and consensus!

Some additional photos below the gull are from my Webs or at Victoria Park at the other end of Arbroath

I'm hoping someone will understand the patterning on the wings and tail

"Winker" my garden Blackbird who despite being blind in one eye has managed with his mate to rear two small broods. Most of which look to have been predated by the various cats I chase whenever I see them
