The difference a bit of sunlight makes especially when there's no window glass in the way. I'll need to get a cushion though if I'm to continue sitting on the concrete step, having got the birds used to my presence. The Tree Sparrows just don't like the noise of the shutter though when I'm using the tripod and remote, hence no photos.
