Ducks Geese Swans Divers - a second look

Bored by the lockdown and weather, with new editing software and better understanding of how to use it, I've tried to sort damage done in the past to photos in my "Ducks Geese Swans Divers" folder. I think much of it was due to the settings of my graphics card and monitor. Google doesn't help as all of the photos here are brighter than the originals and I can't see how to stop it. I even darkened the female Eider quite heavily and Google made it the same as the one I was replacing! (Note, Lightbox turned off as a trial)

I started out with the intention of posting the odd photos but along the way I found many old friends so put them up here. They are simply in alphabetical order and if I can I'll add more details later if my memory works.

American Wigeon, Birnie Loch, Fife

Bar-headed Goose, not flying over the Himalayas as it should be, but over Kinnordy Castle!

Barnacle Goose, the Lurgies, Montrose Basin

Black-necked Grebe, Elie Harbour

Bewicks Swan with a Mute Swan at Newburgh, Fife

I don't know if anyone recognised these as Dark-bellied Brent Geese at Victoria Park, Arbroath. The weather was so bad most just watched from their cars

Coot juvenile at Keptie Pond

Dave the Diver (Red-throated) at City Quay, Dundee

Eider duck

Surely a farmyard goose at Victoria Park, Arbroath. Perhaps released by someone?

Goldeneye drake, Murton NR

Goosander pair below the weir in Cragmill Den, I'd had to hide in the trees hence the trunk to the left

Great Crested Grebe, Forfar Loch

Great Northern Diver on the Island Pond, Monikie CP

Green-winged Teal at Murton NR, Forfar

Harlequin drake on the River Don, Seaton Park, Aberdeen

Looks to be a Canadian/Greylag hybrid at Murton NR

King Eider drake with an Eider for comparison, Ythan Estuary

Eider duck at the Ythan Estuary with a pigment issue

Do you recognise this backside

Long-tailed Duck (drake), Montrose Basin

In my garden pond

A somewhat dodgy/mixed Mallard at Monikie

Mandarin drake, surely designed by a committee of artists

Have a guess baldy

How we treat wildlife in Arbroath. I also have a photo of the owners laughing as the dog chased the male Swan for about 5 minutes

For those who want cuteness, Carnoustie Golf Links

Mute Swan dislodging mud from its feet on landing at Montrose Basin after flying in from a nearby field

Pale-bellied Brent Goose, Victoria Park Arbroath

Pink-footed Geese, Montrose Basin

The hybrid Pintail/Mallard at Keptie Pond

Pochard drake at Monikie CP

Red-breasted Merganser on the North Esk

Red-necked Grebe, Lintrathen

Red-throated Diver, not quite in Angus and when I was younger

Ring-necked drake , Pitlochry

Ruddy Duck near Brechin

Scaup female at Keptie Pond

Hybrid aythya, any ideas?

Shoveler at Kinnordy

Slavonian Grebe, Broughty Ferry Harbour

Smew drake, Monikie CP
