Hoverflies but no Butterflies

   
Photos taken in a Carnoustie garden, when Olive had abandoned me to walk (read as latrine) two dogs. They aren't conducive to insect photography, and they bark endlessly if they don't get attention.
ID's from ObsIdentify and Paul D Brock's book "Insects of Britain & Ireland". Any that are wrong are down to me and photos that don't show pertinent details.


Large Tiger Hoverfly Helophilus trivittatus. Take this ID with a pinch of salt.
