Some wee fellas before it gets cold again....

Moving on from gulls, it's spring after all. Some close photography at Montreathmont Forest and some taken from my armchair.

I took a video of the Green Sandpiper at Murton on Monday before careless visitors strayed off the circular paths almost to the edge of the pond. Maybe worthwhile educating visitors for the nesting season, mind you it doesn't work at Forfar Loch with dogs working through the undergrowth being common and no attempts to stop them from un-caring owners.

Just enough light for a photo of this Yellowhammer in the trees at Montreathmont Forest, usually they are on the ground and in the darkness

Coal Tit

Great Spotted Woodpecker, male

I couldn't get all of this Red Squirrel in this close up shot

One of my Greenfinches in the back garden with the sun shining directly on it

Another in the front garden, either shaded or darkened due to the double glazing

Tree Sparrow on the biggest Cotoneaster I've ever seen, it's in Olive's garden and has survived time, weather, butchery and even fire and needs severe pruning again
