I've no photos today but managed some video of a Spoonbill and a Ruddy Duck which are both present at Montrose Basin for at least a second day. I wonder if the Spoonbill is same bird, an immature I saw on June 10th, my flight photo then clearly showed black tips to the outer primary feathers, the videos give a hint of that and no sign of a crest.
The Spoonbill was filmed at Maryton Ditch and the Ruddy Shelduck about halfway between there and the SWT Centre. The Spoonbill re-located to the Lurgies where I saw it and two Little Egrets as the tide came in.The Goosander and young were at the Lurgies late one evening this week.
