Wheatears in the rock armour!

Not the species I was looking for at West Links, that was a Curlew Sandpiper which was there but impossible to photograph near dusk. These Wheatears however provided entertainmet earlier in the evening, there could have been as many as eight, maybe more in amongst the rock armour. Many seemed to still be there today, Monday. Also three photos from Victoria Park to the north of the harbour, including a regular gullwith its family.

Very near to sunset

Juvenile

Just a little sunlight creeping over the sea wall on to these Bar-tailed Godwits. Seven again this afternoon in a gale

Earlier in the afternoon at Victoria Park, Arbroath, this small group of Knot were close to the sea wall near high tide. Six others were out of frame

Juvenile Little Gull, already moulting into winter plumage. Another one that wouldn't comply and sit nearer the wall
