Corn Bunting Survey recce

A quick walk around one of my Corn Bunting farms to find out the lay of the land, the crops in the various fields, so I can work out a plan before the survey day. I did see Corn Buntings, three maybe four, even in the middle of the afternoon and unusually for an area of almost total cereal crops, four butterfly species.

Same bird just not so close

This Corn Bunting had just had a bath in a dirty puddle!

Skylark, around a dozen seen

With a bit of sun on it

At least six Painted Ladies today but more likely ten
