The Great Egret remains at Montrose Basin, the Little Grebe brood at Keptie Pond is all grown up, the Pintail hybrids remain, Goosanders return and bizarrely a Mallard has a new brood. Strange times......
if anyone spots a rarity in the videos let me know
Great Egret and Little Egret, north-north east of the hide at 280 metres
Grey Plover from the Wigeon Hide. Google says it's 101 metres from the hide to the edge of the mud
One of the brood of Little Grebes at Keptie Pond, the first I can remember and most likely due to the improved water quality and weed removal by "Keptie Friends"
I like this one which could have been a good photo earlier in the day when the light was better
Goosander
One of an original brood of 15 Mallard ducklings hatched in the last few days, hopefully they'll make it after this very late breeding attempt
The Pintail/Mallard hybrid
The female Pintail hybrids
Redshank at the Old Brewhouse
Rock Pipit
Silver Y Moth near the Old Brewhouse
Not many Canada Geese at Lintrathen when we were there, most were elsewhere feeding in the fields nearby
Great Crested Grebe, Lintrathen
A domestic Goose which "may" have been released at Victoria Park, Arbroath. Will it make past Sunday lunch?
Juvenile Peregrine which flew through Keptie Pond to chase the Feral Pigeons on the Water Tower
The field next to the Wigeon Hide where many waders roost and last winter a Hen Harrier hunted for a few months. It's been mown, perhaps to allow the cattle into feed. The nearby Twite area has been cultivated, food we may well need after Brexit
