Little Stint - and Living in Hope, led by donkeys

Little Stint at Kinnaber, seen when on a walk with some visitors. Also a distant Great Egret and a long awaited rant about over-priced healthy non alcoholic beers. Bear with me on that, I only have the nations health in my thoughts, and of course the one-sided injustice.

Great Egret, 2 Little Egrets and Grey Herons, a welcome surprise when I visited the Wigeon Hide at Montrose Basin

I'm celebrating my success in fixing a Lens error on my Nikon Coolpix P1000, the camera that provides the videos posted here. I'm not exactly sure what caused the fault but it's possible it was some wind blown sand in the barrel, dragged in when the lens was retracted. If anyone is interested, I fully charged the battery, held down the Fn button and pressed the On/Off button while still holding the down the Fn. Compressed air or a strong hairdryer set on cool might get sand out, if I had any, it came out with the barrel.

This isn't what it looks like, I have a difficulty in sourcing non-alcohol beer and low alcohol beer, the shops only stock very small amounts, some only 10 bottles maximum on a shelf of mixed low alcohol beers, and the shelves aren't filled up very often.

I've been asking the Scottish Government who introduced the 50p per unit of alcohol, why they won't legislate to compel the supermarkets to use the extra income they get to subsidise the healthy low alcohol versions. When they brought in the 50p change I asked why the supermarkets should benefit. The answer was "we hope they will use the income to subsidise healthy options" well they haven't and I can buy 2 litres of alcoholic lager for £4.55 and the healthy options are around £6.00.
The reply from Maree Todd's Office, below,

Thank you for your email of 17 June to Ms Todd MSP, Minister for Public Health, Women’s Health and Sport with questions about cross border alcohol sales and the price of low and no alcohol drinks. As a member of the Alcohol Harm Prevention Team I have been asked to respond.....

This is a commercial decision largely for the businesses involved and any enquiries on this should be directed to the relevant producers. Hopefully through increased competition in the category,  continued innovation during the production process, and increasing uptake by consumers, we may see prices fall.
Good to see that out leaders don't actually lead, but they're sure full of of s**t* hope!
Will the SNP be adopting "Land of Hope and Glory"

The other question I asked was "how much alcohol comes over the border in private cars, vans and lorries"  because it was often much cheaper than in Scotland.  "The researchers also interviewed retailers on both sides of the Scotland-England border about whether they thought MUP had led to an increase in people from Scotland buying alcohol from stores in England. There was some evidence of this, although retailers noted that cross-border purchasing was happening prior to the introduction of MUP, as many consumers who live near the border in Scotland work in Carlisle or Berwick-upon-Tweed, or conduct weekly grocery shopping in these towns". This doesn't address long distance lorries, vans and individuals who travel much further into England, I have personal knowledge of people who bring back large amounts for friends, family and even some to sell.
Reminds me of heroes led by donkeys.....
