Currently just some P1000 photos, there might be some others in my DSLR.
A revisit to try and find the Great Egret closer in, or perhaps it would land right in front of me! Also around at Montrose Basin, a moulting adult Ruff (Slunks), 40-50 Black-tailed Godwits (Rossie Spit), I think Ron counted 283 Pink-footed Geese, Little Egrets, Goosanders, Teal, Wigeon, Dunlin, Knot, Oystercatchers, Curlew, Grey Heron, Mallard, Eider, Cormorants and a juvenile Arctic Tern.

Great Egret at Maryton Ditch, Montrose Basin
Over 200 Pink-footed Geese at Montrose Basin today, the first arrivals this autumn
Another ringed Starling at Mains of Usan, no raptors bothering them today
Many were ringed but few could be seen well enough to be photographed and read
I can't recall this and another four Wind Turbines before, I wonder how long they've been there and which wind farm they are part of and how far they are offshore. Looks like it's part of the Inchcape Wind Farm, they're not making it easy to find a map.
The photo above cropped
I really do have enough Small Tortoiseshell photos but this one landed right in front of me
This isn't an isolated view, it's what happens when a whole ecosystem is bastardised for the sake of one species so the rich can have some fun blasting them out of the sky! It's reckoned that 12-18% of the uplands are given over to grouse shooting.
Still waiting, and since at least 2016 for the SNP Government to do something about the ruin of Scotland.
