One of my "pass the time" short visits while waiting for Olive! Often to the harbour, Victoria Park and Keptie Pond in Arbroath. I'm thinking that I should make a point of spending some time around these places when the light's good, the tide's high and the waders can't roost on the west breakwater.
Simply in chronological order and a bit of a tidy up before deleting originals or perhaps saving a few.

Ice cover at Keptie brought the cagey Goosanders a bit closer

This male still has a coating of water covering its body, it was diving and appeared to be eating weed or something in it

I hadn't seen this Pintail Mallard hybrid drake for a while and he had a partner in tow, likely the same duck hybrid as before

This photo shows the giveaway bib, and some photos show a mallard sheen on the head

The Pintail's partner, another hybrid

Moorhen just as the sun went below the houses on Keptie Road

One of many Wigeon pairs around the pond in the small areas which were ice free

These are from Arbroath Harbour last week
