Pheasants - more news, and predictable

   
In the middle of an Avian Flu epidemic which has effectively become a pandemic having spread all around the globe. Is the evidence in the first link below becoming an all too common example of how some shooting estates treat the shot birds and carcasses they can't sell? More info at the links below.

Cock Pheasant, an introduced species from Asia, reared like farm animals and released into the wild, then scared into the air and shot for fun





Pheasants dumped in the River Derwent. 

The Code of Good Shooting Practice states, ‘Shoot managers must ensure they have appropriate arrangements in place for the sale or consumption of the anticipated bag in advance of all shoot days‘.




Did you think the two Pheasants above were the only Pheasants dumped! 

This has become a common sight and we're not immune from it in Scotland.
