It's Mediterranean Gull season again, with two at West Links today with a small number of Black-headed Gulls and a large flock of Herring Gulls feeding from the seas surface close in.
Ringlet Butterflies have started to appear, I had about six on a farmland survey late last week, and three were active in a wood today despite the strong wind.

A different Med Gull which appears to be a 4th calendar year sub-adult

This Rock Pipit appeared to be calling to an unseen adult to feed it
Even in West Woods of Ethie the wind kept the butterflies out of sight, just a few Ringlets were seen

A Garden Bumblebee, one of only a few I've seen so far, we used to get lots in Olive's garden, time yet
I've still got two Yellowhammers coming to my garden, and there's a good chance this one and others will briefly bring in juveniles, showing them a food opportunity for later
