Comma Butterfly, Red Squirrel and Common Hawker Dragonfly - Crombie Country Park

I've stopped visiting Crombie Country Park except to see Comma Butterflies and Common Hawker Dragonflies in late August and September. It was a bit windy on 4/9/2023 and that reduced butterfly sightings to sheltered sunny areas, I only saw one Comma and three Hawkers. The paths are still strewn with trees felled by Storm Arwen and only passable by scrambling over some, under others and by diversions made by walkers. I was told that the tree issue was in hand and starting soon.

Red Squirrels take the first slots as a number of my personal viewers think they're cute, and the squirrels are too! The Comma Butterfly photos were taken in brief gaps in the wind, many photos weren't sharp due to sudden squalls. All photos taken using a Nikon D500 with a 500mm lens which mostly means I don't scare butterflies away by having to get close.

No videos taken, perhaps an early morning visit I'm planning elsewhere might have enough light for some.
