Just some photos from a walk at St Cyrus, followed by a record Purple Sandpiper count for recent years at Arbroath.
At St Cyrus two Ravens with different prey/carrion birds, and on the beach a Carrion Crow with a Redwing.
Arbroath, 77 Purple Sandpipers counted at the harbour and a good count of waders at Inchcape, which for a change, and due to the weather no doubt, nobody walked along or let a dog flush them from the beach. The pair of Long-tailed Ducks were still in the harbour.
Raven with?
Raven with, best guess a Treecreeper or Reed Bunting
Carrion Crow with what looks like a Redwing
Fulmar
Distant Kestrel
Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Turnstone and Knot
Mostly Knot
A composite made up of 4 photos taken along the harbour entrance wall, using Microsoft Image Composite Editor, a free app and easy to use. Pink dots added as an aid to counting
