Songbirds - a second look (part 2)

   

Yes, it's another second look at my old photos and this time it took an age to look through them and decide what was worthy of inclusion. Today it's basically songbirds from a folder named Small Birds and this is the second of four posts which I'll need to cover 111 photos. Some species have both male and female photos where appropriate and if I had photos.

Greenfinch, becoming a rarer sighting, this one was out Ethie way. I did count 9 in my garden today however

I spent a cold morning at Scone Palace some years ago before finding a single Hawfinch just before I left to get a heat

The Hoopoe which visited Montrose Basin a few years ago, which was first reported on a Facebook page before being confirmed by Ron

Although aware of people walking by, it was comfortable enough to sit in a tiny bit of scrub and long grass

A very recently fledged House Martin not far from the nest. Later I watched this one and another returning to the safety of the nest

One winter this male Kingfisher and his mate spent a lot of time at the outlet burn of Forfar Loch and became a bit accustomed to people passing by

At last and not for want of trying, I found my Iceland Gull and it's an adult. Just a pity that like all other days just now there was a howling gale and pouring rain at Victoria Park in Arbroath.
