Backwater Dam Trek!

Olive's preferred site today was a walk around the Backwater Dam (7.7 miles) where we saw Jays, Redwings, Fieldfares, Buzzards, Ravens, Goldcrests, Curlews, Oystercatchers, Lapwings, a Kestrel, Mistle Thrushes and more.

The Goldcrest as usual wouldn't stay still and it resulted in an unusual view of it in flight. There were Meadow Pipits parachuting around and two male Pied Wagtails courting a female, the only mammal was a Brown Hare.
