Kingfisher, but still no sunshine

The first offering below is a sketch penned by "Mr Carbo" and is his representation of the grouse shooting fraternity with reference to the fate of many of last years young Hen Harriers. Apparently ten are now "missing" and satellite tag data seems to show they were on or near grouse moors when the signals were lost. My grandson Finn has been following the progress of his names sake shown in the sketch and he can't understand why someone would shoot him!

The Montrose Basin SWT Centre Kingfisher from the Bank of Scotland Hide. The centre opens after a refurbish on Friday 10/2/2017 and this bird is seen daily from the centre windows


It has never posed for me like this when it's sunny


Lesser Redpoll at Lintrathen Loch where the Red-necked Grebe remained till at least Monday this week but it still has avoided my attempts at a decent photo
