The photo below is the last I have of the budgie which has been living wild in my garden and surrounds since April 6th this year. On July 1st when I took the photo it had unusually flown in while I was sitting on my back step, most times it would circle and leave till I went indoors. On July 2nd it was seen often sitting on the ground apparently sun-bathing but on July 3rd it was lethargic and I was able to approach it but it was still feeding on seed I'd put on the ground. It hasn't been seen since and perhaps appropriately for a free spirit it probably died on July 4th, Independence Day.
The last video of the budgie, click here,
"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest budgie gives up but with life itself"
The price paid for 3 months of freedom.
A better Swift photo, one of two seen infrequently over my garden
