Black Redstart - episode 2

Still no Little Gulls at Monikie, no Sand Martins at Forfar Loch and no auks at Auchmithie. Marsh Harriers, Wheatears and Chiffchaffs have been reported but another period of foul spring weather is due which appears to be holding the birds back. Today the Iceland Gull and the Pale-bellied Brent Goose were at Victoria Park and the Black Redstart found by Jon Pattullo was still at the Old Brewhouse. and the north wind doth blow.......

Black Redstart behind the Old Brewhouse and this time a female/immature, this and two below from Monday, it was cold on the beach

From Sunday when the sun shone

A Rock Pipit which has been seen chasing the Black Redstart often

A photo taken across the width of Forfar Loch which shows a Fox and a drake Mallard in the foreground apparently unaware. There had been a Mallard duck in the first few frames which I think the Fox now has!

Not the unfortunate Mallard from above

Very friendly Robin at the west end of Forfar Loch

About the only bird of interest when I did a recce of the cliffs near Auchmithie for an ADBC trip scheduled for Wednesday but under the threat of bad weather

Blue Tit which was investigating one of Olive's nest boxes
