Great Crested Grebe and Mediterranean Gull

"The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore", leastways when I'm out this July, and no sign at all of The Walker Brothers.

The Walker Brothers in the days of monochrome and sound recorded on black vinyl, click here for nostalgia

Mediterranean Gull disturbed by a one legged Herring Gull, click here

Red-breasted Merganser at the Old Harbour, Montrose Basin, click here

Greenshank at the Lurgies, almost looks in monochrome, click here

Common Sandpipers on the far bank, the Lurgies, click here

Great Crested Grebe on a nest in front of the old sports centre at Forfar Loch

Sedge Warbler, remember the sun ain't shining

2nd summer Mediterranean Gull at West Links in Arbroath. Ringed in Germany I've been told, yellow AY-ZK, full details later perhaps

I think this is a different 2nd summer from the one at Victoria Park

This is a Black-headed Gull, photo was concentrated on the green ring J8C1 a regular each year I believe, and a Norwegian.
From the ringer, "Female ringed @ Rogaland, Norway 11/6/17" and last seen in Arbroath in August 2019 in the same place

Ouch, no wonder this Black-headed Gull is carrying its foot, it's blown up like a balloon with an assumed infection

Red-breasted Merganser at the Lurgies on Tuesday

Just before it started pouring of rain, looking across the South Esk into the Slunks and beyond
