Cormorant close-ups

Just a few birds from a dull day at Hatton, north of East Haven, and Westhaven car park, when I was waiting for a hairdresser to work her magic on Olive's hair in Carnoustie! I haven't had a proper haircut since around this time last year and it's showing.....Question is, should I trust Olive with the clippers set at 24mm?

Usually the Cormorants that sit on the navigation poles at Westhaven don't oblige by sitting on the inshore ones, this one sat still while some walkers approached so I had a go too. It was still there when I left

Seems weird to me that a diving bird isn't waterproof and needs to drip-dry

It's a young in'

A very bright Meadow Pipit

The adult Pied Wagtails are beginning to get territorial and are chasing the youngsters away, the Rock Pipits are the same with all-comers

An eclipse Teal, too easily flushed every time a walker went past along the coastal pathway

Not so many crows on Friday, that was until helicopter G-PERD flew past fairly low and flushed absolutely everything including, a large flock of Pink-footed Geese, 57 Curlews, 30 Oystercatchers, Rock Pipits, Wagtails, Starlings, 4 Bar-tailed Godwits and of course the wary Redshanks
