Elliot to East Haven

A walk out to East Haven on yet another cold and miserable day. On my return I took some photos of a very confiding Grey Heron which I think deserves its own post, to follow soon, likely Saturday.

Linnet male

Meadow Pipit

Reed Bunting male (underside)

Sanderling on its way to breeding plumage

Still looking somewhat in winter plumage

Sanderlings in different stages of plumage

Sedge Warbler

Lots of Skylarks but no light for good photos

Song Thrush sitting on the railway fence

Stonechat male at Elliot

Wheatear in the cattle field at Hatton

Wren near Elliot

Crows seem to have an easy life

The flooded path between Elliot and East Haven. I suspect it will be too difficult and costly to effectively drain as there's no drop for the water to flow and it's draining into an SSSI
