East Haven beach stroll (low tide!)

Some photos taken between East Haven and Hatton while waiting for Olive getting her hair done in Carnoustie, you'd think there weren't hairdressers in Arbroath....
Then back home with the freshly coiffured Olive, we sat in her garden and I couldn't resist trying for a "better" photo of anything that moved!
Might have a tool to stop this over brightening of the cropped photos - next post will be a test.

Female Stonechat, a male nearby

One of two Wheatears in passage along the coast

This young Carrion Crow is clearly used to walkers on the beach and effectively strolled along beside me

A young Curlew, with a full crop but still looking thin

There were at least 25 Pied Wagtails on the beach between East Haven and Hatton, adults, first and second broods

Rock Pipit

Back home and my first 2nd generation Red Admiral in my garden, so lots of photos

It took a lot of persistence to get a photo of a Large White and a Small White side by side

Marmalade Flies still around in numbers

A Common Wasp, perhaps from the nest in my dormer which is giving me an excuse to delay painting it
