Yellow is the colour (of my true love's hair)

It's not all glamour, travel and bright lights being a birder, some days I have to stay at home and pretend to do housework and gardening.
You can see that hours spent sitting in the garden worked as the Yellowhammers have eventually become accustomed to me there. They won't tolerate movement but now ignore the noisy shutter on the camera.
A few insects were about, but they don't like the wind in the front garden and there's no flowers at the back attracting them yet. The Green-veined White Butterflies fly straight through.
I came near to getting a colour video of the Dog Fox this morning, just 15 minutes later and the infrared would have switched to colour.

Herring Gull, a 4th calendar year bird still with a black spot on its beak despite the moult looking later?

It's got a bit of menace about it!

First attempt at House Martins this year, still too high up, mind you they are too fast to follow when close

Grey Heron, I currently have at least one flying over my house, likely going from a small heronry I know to the Brothock Burn or Keptie Pond

Seven Spot Ladybird

Gooden's Nomad Bee, a parasite on the Chocolate Mining Bees below. They lay their eggs in the mining bee nests

A screen grab from a video I took in Glen Lethnot showing one of two Curlews chasing a Red Kite
