Todd's Canada Goose - Montrose Basin

I stumbled on this Canada Goose which looks to be good for Todd's. Photos reviewed by someone much smarter than me, and they agree it's good for a Todd's. A few others from the Lurgies and Maryton Ditch, and below them local birds in and around Arbroath Harbour and area.

Long-tailed Duck at Maryton      Black-tailed Godwit, Maryton

The best candidate for a Todd's Canada Goose I've found, seen today, 27/10/2022 on Miss Erskine's Bank from the Lurgies path at high tide

As I fumbled to get the P1000 for a closer photo or probably better a video, it flew off!

Another Long-tailed Duck, this time at Maryton Ditch

Further upstream at the Lurgies a female Goldeneye

The Purple Sandpipers are back, there were 20 at the harbour on Wednesday

This Guillemot was in the harbour entrance and so close I couldn't get it all in the frame

Black-headed Gull at Victoria Park

This and the other Redshanks couldn't get any peace and were continually disturbed by dog walkers

One of a flock of Starlings also being kept off the seaweed they wanted to feed on
