Fieldfare Friday

I've had apples lying in my garden and Olive's garden for weeks now but it was only this week that thirteen Blackbirds turned up to eat them. Today, and with more apples added, eight Fieldfares arrived and many of my other "missing" birds also returned.

The last time we had snow, and lots of it, there were something like 50 Fieldfares, a Mistle Thrush, a Redwing, and then a female Sparrowhawk which caught but didn't kill a Fieldfare when I accidentally spooked it. The Sparrowhawk then stayed around for weeks taking Feral Pigeons which some neighbours actively feed!

Photos and videos all taken through double glazing with a Nikon D500 for photos and a P1000 videos
