Photos from my annual visit to Glen Prosen, then on my way home I found two Little Ringed Plovers on Buddy's Loch at Murton NR.
Just when they were getting close enough for a photo, they were flushed.
Whinchat, unexpectedly popped up from heathland where it was foraging early morning when there was still a chill in the air
Redstart male, always sitting at the top of the largest tree around
Lesser Redpoll
Willow Warbler
Dor Beetle Anoplotrupes stercorosus
Everywhere I went on Tuesday there were Orange Tip Butterflies, most appeared to be females, only one settled long enough for a photo
Two Great Crested Grebes at Murton, and they appeared to be a pair, they spent a long time together on the water and may have lost a nest/brood?
