Grey Plover and more Pintail hybrid

I sat in the dunes today at Hatton, between Elliot and East Haven to get some Grey Plover photos, but just couldn't get any peace on a sunny day with dog walkers frequently flushing the birds.
No Waxwings at Morrisons when I drove past today, well there wouldn't be it was sunny, not like yesterday when I took the photo below.

The rest of the odd Pintail photos are on the lower part of this post along with other birds from Keptie Pond in Arbroath.

Grey Heron, ambitious, it was pecking it apart when I left

Another Stonechat photo, they do pose and are often in good light

Pintail type hybrid?

Sort these two out please, both at Keptie Pond and neither bothered about people. I reckon I might be able to hand feed the first one! When I arrived I thought woohoo a Pintail, then later it climbed out of the pond with tame Mallards, clearly something not right! I've since found out the "Pintail" had a neck ring when it was seen last week, it must have fallen off or a concerned person could have captured it and removed it?

This one's a puzzle, lots of Pintail drake, a bit of a of a Mallard bib which on other photos reaches on to the breast, and the yellow legs of a Gadwall. Also, it was near to but not attached to the other odd one below, looks like someone's collection has escaped

This one looks to be a Gadwall in eclipse, although I'm not to sure about the head.  Comments welcome, I've got other things to do at the moment, although I've found some similar hybrids online

Loch of Lintrathen - Halloween

The Great Grey Shrike at Backwater Dam was MIA on Thursday morning, I searched the hillsides and the areas around the picnic spot at the west end of the loch. Then it turned up again on Friday, another trip seems likely if the weather behaves.

All of these photos were taken at Lintrathen which didn't have the large numbers of Wigeon, Teal and Geese that hopefully will arrive soon.

Great Crested Grebe juvenile/1st winter on Lintrathen, from the elevated hide, you know, the one with tiny windows which make photography very difficult!

Canada Goose and Mute Swan

It came closer which made me wonder how wild it was

Whooper Swan and Mute Swan for comparison

Whooper Swan

Red Squirrel, the first and only one I've heard vocalising, it made a number of loud calls, either an alarm or warning?

Fortunately it stayed rooted and still as the darkness in the woods required a shutter speed as low as 1/125, not easy to hand hold to get a sharp photo
