Danger Point in Arbroath and Montrose Basin

Some more of the non-breeding or failed breeding migrants which are turning up at Montrose Basin and a couple from Danger Point Arbroath

Black-tailed Godwits in summer breeding plumage with one in non-breeding on the left
Dunlin with their black bellies which disappear after breeding, again these are early returning
Lesser Black-backed Gull and Herring Gull in the Brothock Burn where it meets the sea. Gulls and five Mute Swans were preening in the fresh water
The Shearwater, the same Dredger which I remember as a kid some forty plus years ago leaving Arbroath Harbour to dump the mud and silt
