In between the cloud and rain a little sun appeared and shone on these birds around Arbroath long enough for a few photos. The Turnstones and Purple Sandpipers will go soon to their breeding grounds, the Wheatear and the Common Sandpiper will end up in the glens. The rest breed locally and I'll check the Ringed Plover another day to see if there is a nest where the photo was taken.
