The 2020 RSPB Birdcrime Report

and the killing goes on....

The latest RSPB Birdcrime Report has been published and it's no surprise that the number of persecution crimes has reached a record level, the highest since recording started in 1990.
You'll remember there were strict bans on travel due to Covid, this appears to have allowed the perpetrators free reign to break the laws of this country. Not so you may think, if 137 were recorded, but how many weren't found or recorded?
You might also remember that Grouse shoots with up to 30 people were allowed - one law for us, no laws for them.

On a happier note, here's a photo and video of a Little Gull from Lunan Bay on Wednesday, with a supporting cast. There are links to video of the Little Gull and others below these photos.

These are "snapshots" from the video below, taken with a new version of my video editing sofware, I'm impressed. It helps that I almost always film in UHD. The mark ups on the photo were added when I was trying to make it into something more interesting and rare, and evidence sent to my guru.....

room for improvement if/when the sun comes out and Scoters come inshore a bit
